November is upon us! For many, this means that it is time to kick off the holiday season. If you're traveling to New Mexico over the holidays and want to see some amazing Christmas lights while you're here, then check out some of the festive spots on this list!
River of Lights (Albuquerque):
Each year, ABQ BioPark Botanic Garden puts on an amazing Christmas light event that showcases more than 700 light displays along a 1.5 mile path. You'll see animated features, 3D sculptures, and, of course, millions of twinkling lights. Don't miss Albuquerque's most popular light display!
Christmas on the Pecos (Carlsbad):
Celebrate the holidays with a festive boat tour! During this unique experience, a boat will transport you along the Pecos River so you can see more than 100 awe-inspiring home light displays. Themed displays depict scenes such as Santa’s workshop, the Southwest desert, and much more.
Lights in the Plaza (Santa Fe):
The Plaza in Santa Fe has an awesome annual holiday light display. If you're in town for Thanksgiving, then you should come by for the lighting event (Nov. 25, 2022 at 4:30 PM), which will feature appearances by Santa and Mrs. Claus, live music, hot chocolate, cookies, and more.
More events are expected to be announced in the next month. You'll have lots of options to pick from, no matter where you are in New Mexico! Know of a light display we missed? Tell us in the comments!
