July 4, 2023 is tomorrow. Have you made plans yet? In Albuquerque, there are plenty of things to do to celebrate Independence Day.
In Rio Rancho (which is right outside of Albuquerque), there will be a stellar 4th of July Celebration. The party will feature live music, a parade, food trucks, fireworks, a biergarten, and more! Come out and enjoy this awesome evening full of family fun between 6:30pm and 9pm. Bring the family to Balloon Fiesta Park for Freedom 4th this Independence Day. This event will feature the brightest fireworks show in New Mexico, plus food, local beer, and free kids' activities. We're particularly excited about the live music lineup, which includes The Fabulous Martini-Tones (surf rock), Austin Van (country), Divino (latin), and Lindsay Ell (pop). This event is free and family-friendly!
The national "Let Freedom Ring" ceremony will take place at Expo New Mexico. At this event, a liberty bell will be tapped to coincide with the 2pm tapping of the original Liberty Bell in Philadelphia. There will also be music by the Rio Grande Symphonic Band, a reading of the Declaration of Independence, a roll call of the signers, a talk about Spain's involvement in the war of independence, and flamenco. If you're a history buff, then you don't want to miss this free ceremony.
No matter what event you attend, we feel confident that you'll have the best Independence Day ever in Albuquerque!
