New Mexico may not be the first state that comes to mind when you're trying to decide where to ski in the winter, but it has a lot to offer. Taos is a highly-regarded ski town, but there's also great terrain in Santa Fe!

Ski season is in full swing in Santa Fe. This is largely thanks to a massive snowstorm that recently hit, perfecting conditions for skiers and snowboarders hoping to hit the slopes. KRQE reports that Ski Santa Fe is "...sitting on about a 38-inch base and about 100% of the mountain is open. A new high-speed lift is being put in and is expected to cut ride time to the top of the mountain to four minutes and new RFID ticketing systems are being used to help move people through the gates quickly." The snow totals continue climbing each and every day! For more on the resort's snowfall, visit https://skisantafe.com/snow-report/

Ski Santa Fe is an approachable resort with a wide variety of perfectly groomed runs that suit every skier's ability. There are 86 runs across 660 acres of terrain. 20% of those are beginner runs, 40% are intermediate, and 40% are expert. The resort is also located only 16 miles from Santa Fe, making it a very convenient place to ski! You can ski all day and then spend the evening taking in all that the city has to offer.

Ski Santa Fe is also a lively, fun place to ski. Starting January 6th, Ski Santa Fe will host live music every Saturday and Sunday at the Totemoff's Bar. Other special events, ranging from competitions to tap takeovers, will take place throughout the ski season. To see all upcoming events at Ski Santa Fe, visit https://skisantafe.com/events/
