Did you know that May is Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Day? To celebrate, the National Museum of Nuclear Science & History will host their 27th Annual Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Day on May 4, 2024!

Come celebrate Asian American & Pacific Islander (AAPI) heritage with a variety of awesome activities at the National Museum of Nuclear Science & History! This event, which is co-hosted by the Sandia National Laboratories Asian Leadership Outreach Committee, is a fantastic way to learn about the diverse traditions, languages, and experiences of AAPI communities.
You'll be captivated by dance performances, hands-on activities, floral arrangements, delicious foods, and more.
"Through the continuing support of the Albuquerque Chinese Happy Dance Group, Albuquerque Chinese Folk Dance Ensemble, BK Taiko, Chinese American Citizens Alliance Youth Dance Troup, Chinese Cultural Center, Ha’Aheo O Hawaii, Hindu Temple Society of NM, Ichiyo School of Ikebana, Albuquerque Chapter, Ikebana International, Chapter 41, Wayne Itokazu, Japan America Society of New Mexico Lin Martial Arts, NM Chinese School of Arts and Language, and Lili Xiao, visitors will be treated to performances including traditional dance performances, Chinese martial arts, origami, Chinese calligraphy and paper cutting, Japanese Taiko drumming and much more."

Admission to the festival is included with your paid museum entrance fee. You can purchase a ticket online or at the door on the day of the event!
Can't make it to the festival? The museum is hosting a special exhibition in Periodic Hall that highlights the invaluable contributions of eight distinguished Asian American Pacific Islanders. You can check it out throughout the month of May!
